One thing about being a Peace Corps volunteer is that people have questions.

So here are a few of the questions I get asked most often.

⸻

“What do you eat?”

I have written about this separately on a couple of occasions, but briefly here, you have access to absolutely everything you have the ENERGY to make.

I am lazy. Ke botsoa.

So I eat a lot of things that give me energy to live but don’t necessarily nourish my foodie soul.

Beans and rice, canned chicken and rice, tuna and crackers, eggs, spaghetti, and ketchup.

I know. Don’t look at me like that.

⸻

“What do you do for fun?”

Fun? Fun? What is this word you speak of?

For fun, I go to town and eat KFC…

In all honesty, you can do pretty much whatever you’d like to. Volunteers travel, visit friends, hike, explore, and find ways to make life fun.

As the resident scaredy-cat, however, I tend to have significantly less excitement than most.

Now that I’m able to travel more, I do have some adventures to look forward to. I’ll be sure to write about them here for you guys. 🤍
