Winter is over! ❄️

The end of winter in Lesotho means the peach trees are flowering, the apricots are plentiful, and…dust season is here.

As a lover of warm climates and humidity, the winter in Lesotho was brutal. Being from Louisiana means I have never been cold enough to slather Vaseline on my face, body, or inside my nasal cavity to prevent cracked skin, bleeding noses, or genuine discomfort.

In Lesotho bc of the dry climate and mountains, this country sees snow and true winter. When I told people Lesotho had ski resorts, everyone was shocked, so I am here to debunk the myth that all of Africa is hot. The continent is enormous, and most of sub-Saharan Africa experiences true winters. Nevertheless, I am glad to be experiencing warmth again.

A big reason is that I am now in the season I was in when I arrived in this country 1 year ago, on September 25th. Can you believe it?

Time has FLOWN! I feel such a sense of accomplishment for making it this far. 15months left !!
